What kind of software program can remove the flower in my hair on the photo below?

I have the software which came with my Canon A95 (Zoombrowser EX & PhotoImpression 5) plus I have InfranView. Would any of those work for me, or do I have to buy or download a different program to do this for me?

Also will any of them get rid of the little white pixels? I should have dusted off the picture before I scanned it.

Thanks in advance.

The flower and the extraneous flecks can be removed by using the technique of cloning. Paint Shop Pro (PSP8 ), for exemple, has a tool called a 'clone brush'. You essentially take a sample of pixel colors and density from a nearby area and paint over the flower or whatever you want to remove and make it appear as more background. It requires hand work, but the technique isn't too difficult to master.

Other full featured photo editors will have a similar capability.

Wow, that works great! Thank you. I will try to get one of those programs for myself. I have heard good things about both of them.

Thanks again.
