Hi all,

Altho not really new in Photoshop i'm still wondering what's the difference between the levels histogram and the 'real' histogram. To be more specific, in image->adjustment->levels one find a histogram fuction, while there's another one found in image->histogram.

sometimes the results are the same for both histograms but sometimes thee are differences.

Can anyone tell me the exact differences amd how i can use one or the other one.

thanks in advance

well to fix levels, you need the histogram, so it is integrated in the levels adjustment. But you only see it if you apply a levels adjustment, so there is a regular histogram so you can check the dynamic range of your composited file as you work. In the levels, it is only the histogram of that layer, that is why they may appear different.

p.s. do you know how to use levels ?
