Here's an observation I made about interpolation in the RAW importer as opposed to Photoshop itself.

I've always been negative of setting the camera to do interpolation. This was based on "reason." :-) and experience with a previous digital camera using digital zoom.

However, using the D1x, if I set the image IN the importer to a larger size, the results are visibly better than doing the interpolation AFTER it's imported to Photoshop and THEN interpolated up.

I say this even though I went through the trouble of seperate steps of increasing the size 10 percent over and over.

The results are much better if I do this in the importer.

Any comments?
