Default How do i create a 3D type image ?

How can i make a object into a 3D type picture like this.

http://www.steves-digicams.com/2002_.../p71_qtvr.html

Don't need it to be that good but something like that.

I heard you must take around 60 shoots every 6-10Degrees and put it in a program that will make it into this applet. Like it doesn't need to be like that but perhaps like a picture and you can click a BIG arrow and it turns 15 Degrees or so. (around no need for up and down)

PS: I saw the link how to do it but i don't want to buy that machine i already payed a lot for my Digital camera (yup the picture i posted Sony P71 is the camera

Any input is greatly appreciated

Just enter object movie software into Google and you will find all kinds of stuff. There is a free applet at the Panorama Factory (http://www.panoramafactory.com/). Probably not the best, but the price is right.

I pointed you to the Panorama Factory site because there is a free Java applet there that will do object movies. Just look at the dragon and click on it.

Try to read the screens that follow.

Just FYI - We take 36 pictures, one every 10 degrees, to create our QuickTime VR tours of the cameras that we review.

You can create your own turntable out of most anything. You could probably make a good one out of most any "lazy susan" type spinning device. Measure the outer diameter and then divide it into 36 equal sections and mark each one. Then you can spin the lazy susan and stop at each mark until you have all 36 pictures.

The software that I use to put the images together is called Spin PhotoObject 1.2 which sold for about $100. There is also VR Worx and of course the many other free and reasonably priced QuickTime object editors out there.
