Walmart has the Adobe Photoshop Element 2.0 for $58.29. You send in the rebate by mail and get back $30. Total cost $28.29.

Then if you want to get the photoshop 7.0 (retail: $649), you can get the upgrade version for $149 since you have the 2.0 now. Your total cost is less than $180.

Tell me if you get a better deal... cheers

Are you sure you can use the upgrade to photoshop from elements?

I think when you buy Photoshop Elements you are kind of paying for the Name more than its function....

Three software titles that come to mind that are more functional and powerfull than PhotoShop Elements are:

PHoto Impact by Ulead.com
www.ulead.com/pi/runme.htm

Paint Shop Pro by Jasc.com
www.jasc.com/products/paintshoppro/

And Power Pack from ACD Systems
http://www.acdsystems.com/English/Pr...Pack/index.htm

Those three have as much or more power than PhotoShop Elements plust they can do a heck of alot more for a digital photography including image management and printing / scanning options

I think all of them have a trial download as well .... check them out[/url]

I have used Paint Shop Pro and Ulead and Elements 1 and 2. Elements kills them. Maybe you didn't know how to use Elements.
