When you say you didn't want the white background, you wanted nothing there at all, am I right in thinking you want the background to be black? Something like this? -

imagine I want that as a sig on any website, it'll be hard to match background each time, so I wanted nothing but the bit of graphics itself get what I mean?

I imagine you were looking for something like this..

The pic must be saved in Gif format, or a format that supports transparent backgrounds.

Jpeg format does not support transparencies, therefore it will allways put a white background in when you save the file.

Oops, sorry about the sloppy edit..I didn't realize it was that bad until it was on the black background here. It was a quick edit.

Well here is another attempt, its tough to get edge detail with transparencies on a gif..

there's a lot of material out describing different file formats, I've sifted through some of it..I'm no expert, but you have to save gif with a transparent background option checked..that should be in the gif options as you save..you should also use 256 colors if you want a decent looking pic..remember you are limiting to 256 colors, so you wont get photo quality..and the more colors you use the larger the file will be also.

sometimes you have to comprimise:sad:

hope this helps a little..

If you know what color you will be viewing on it helps..

Here is the same edit with a black matte added during the save proccess..
