Just purchased the Casio Ex-S500, and the software bundled with it is complete garbage.....



so do any of y'all have any suggestion as to some recommended photo editing software?

only catch is that it must be free:-)

The best free package is the GIMP.

Picasa from Google is free and is quite good at some very basic stuff.

I'd recommend splashing out on Photoshop Elements 3 though.

GIMP is pretty good, not sure if there is a Windows version available.
But then Linux is free too :idea:

Studioline Photo Basic - free and if you chose to upgrade, only $44. They were listed in American Photo magazine.

Not a huge deal PeterOlt . but if you want to do a "punchline" for your product then came in and say so or atleast say who you are.. to do what you did leaves a sour taste in my mouth and makes me seriously wonder what you business ethics are and definitely makes me not to want to do business with you or your company

When I need something free, I always use Google and search for the specific tool. Sometimes I'm lucky and sometimes I'm not so lucky :-) Not all freebees are that good, so if it is a tool I really need, it's good and not too expensive, I usually cough up the extra dollars.
