hi

i'm using microsoft digital image 9 to edit my photos. i'm trying to put some curved text in an image - specifically tring to change the text on a london undergroud sign. the image is curved - ie the text starts away from the viewer and comes towards you. the perspective therefore changes.

confused?

maybe i should post the image and ask for advice. i thought there may be some software out there that lets you do this kind of thing?

any suggestions?

Editors in general offer you some text options , for example:

The Gimp is freeware and will do curved text. http://www.ylug.cwc.net/Tutorial/Poster3.html

After you curve the text you want to change the perspective. You will likely use the transform tools as in Photoshop. If it isn't intuitive do a Google search for "gimp transform tool". Transform is usually pretty intuitive – you just grab the corners and pull them where you want them to change perspective.
