Take a look at this screenshot.

There's no horizontal bar on the sliders. Does anyone have any idea why?

I have just downloaded and installed Picasa2 and cannot replicate the problem.

Meaning, that I tried to access the relevant tools without an image selected, which might have explained why the slider options were greyed out, or not available, as with other applications.

Also searched the helpfile, no luck.

I suggest the easiest, (and best), thing to do is to simply reinstall the application.

I can't tell from the interface you depict, whether it is the latest version or an earlier one. If the latter, then a good time to get the latest.

Yeah I have the latest 2.1. It's not just the tuning area, it's for sliders everywhere. And the icons for the print/email buttons will disappear when I click on an image.
I'm wondering if this could be a video card problem(I hate those.).

Do you have anything similar installed, another editing program ?

Do they work ok ?

I'd be confident in saying that Picasa wouldn't be putting undue stress on your card, so if everything else seems to be ok, then just download Picasa again and reinstall.

Then cross your fingers that it's not the card. If it's just the program, then you can't get a cheaper remedy than for free !

Yeah I reinstalled already, even deleted the database(curious thing is picasa seems to remember my edits even with deleted database). It's ok though, the programme is usable it just looks weird.
