Default JPEG to JPEG Exif 2.2 format?

I have a Pentax optio GS300GS which takes pictures in the JPG format. As it has a TV out function I was going to copy some JPG pictures from the Internet and flip them through the TV set.

However the camera uses teh JPEG exif 2.2 format

Is there any way to convert the ordinary JPEG files to JPEG Exif 2.2 format so that I can import them to my camera?

Hi,

this is a bit of a late reply, but better late than never I suppose...

It is relatively easy to add keywords, description, etc. to JPG files. It tends to be harder to add those records related to physical setting of the DC like ISO, camera model. In other words, you can't easily find a way to cheat :-)

But actually, even adding full EXIF2.2 to JPG without EXIF won't help you, due to the fact that most DC usually check the Maker Note block (information related to your specific camera) and also insist on exact dimensions, sampling parameters, etc.

Hope that has made this issue clearer for you.
