Hi, all. I installed Sony Picture Package on my Dell desktop running Win XP, SP2. I received the sofware bundled with my DSC-R1.

The SPP loads itself automatically. It does not appear in the Win XP startup folder, and there is no option within SPP that I can find that addresses an autorun function.

I'd rather not have it up and running (and chewing into memory) unless I want it there.

Any clues? Perhaps a removal and reinstallation is in order?

Thanks!

I just removed it from my system completely. Removed all my Canonsoftware too. If you have a stand alone editor (i.e. Photoshop, RSE...) and a memory card reader, the software that comes bundled with cameras is just fluff that takes up space.

I have the same problem and am looking for a solution short of removing the software completely. Any luck with an answer.

Many thanks
