He didn't seem as interested in the N, HO, O, or G scale trains as me. There was a Lego user group there and he spent most of time at their display. They had Lego town, trains and Lego Space monorails.

Found this seasonal guy not far from the railroad tracks.

But the temps have been pretty mellow, and there are still some small, pretty flowers to see in certain places.

I was shooting wildlife at a local refuge and had my wide angle camera and lens sitting next to me while I was shoot my big lens. Suddenly, this Egret jumped up and flew across the front on my truck and I was just able to grab the wide angle and snap one shot through the window.

This is one of the few lighthouses that I've visited where you are actually allowed to go up inside the tower to see the big Fresnel lens. These things are huge! To help understand how these work, one section of the lens is removed to allow a view inside. This shot was taken through that removed section and looking out through the red section on the opposite side.
