There's a local camera shop with the Sigma EF 500 ST selling for a really attractive price. However, this is the non DG model, meaning the flash made for film SLRs.* I tried looking all over to see the compatibility with my *ist DL, but haven't found anything concrete.* Does anyone know if this flash will work with my camera?

I am not sure about the DL but there could be a problem with the DL only working with P-TTL external flash guns.

Most older flashes , such as my Sigma EF430ST only work on TTL triggering. This works on my *istDStjhat support s TTL flash control as wel as P-TTL .

I think the later Pentax's only support P-TTL automatic flash control.
