I used the Metz 36 flash with the new Pentax Kx camera today for over 50 images. Yes, it is an adequate flash unit. It has more power or light output than the smaller Pentax AF-200 flash Unit, but, less power or light output than the Pentax AF-360 flash unit.
A larger Metz flash unit like the Metz 48 or larger would be a better buy even though it would be more expensive, becuse you could use it for many more photo applications. Sarah Joyce |

I do not know what flash the unit is but you have to check what shutter sppeed you are syncing at. If I remember I had the D40x and it sync at up to 1/200 of a second. also the flash unit my have a high triger voltage which cane burn out your CPU in the Camera. check the settings in the camera menus.

in addition note:
I used the sunpak PZ42x which works with all the new Nikon's. I used it with my D40x and D90. it has a GN of 138 at 100 ISO (ft). Which is better then the SB900 which GN is 111.5 at 100 ISO (ft). and its only $150 bucks |
