Default Sigma EF-530 DG Super Battery Life

So, I've been reading many review and recommendation from people in this Forum. I think I am going to buy the Sigma EF-530 DG Super for my Pentax K-X. But how is the battery life? About how many pictures can I take before changing to a new set?

By the way, is this the right one to get?

And do I need to buy anything else to go with this?

Thanks

Yes, this is the correct flash. The user reviews seem good, and one of them indicates that he got up to 300 shots with his. Sounds very good. You may want to add a diffuser, depending on how you intend to use the flash. (if you are in a situation where bounce flash won't work well, a diffuser is handy)
I'm haven't used one of these, but, you will probably find, like most autozoom type flashes, that it will only zoom when used straight ahead. This isn't a fault.

Adorama is outstanding and one of the best. IMHO, B&H and Adorama are the top two companies to order from, and both have excellent before-and-after-sale services if you need them. Highly recommended.

Don't the Sigma flash units have a diffuser that pulls out and slides in front of the light?

HDon,

The built in does things a bit differently vs. an Ombibounce or similar. The built-in is meant to spread the light out - it's meant for wide angle use. Use of something like an omnibounce is less severe in the light dispersement.
