Default Sunpak Flash for CP5700

8) I just tried to order a Sunpak 335AF for my CP5700 and was told that only a Nikon flash would work TTL on this camera.

Is that true?

Thank you,

Here in DK I've been told the same. Lucky me fell an a SB-24 which give me execellent results with my CP5700.
But we have to admit - it's Nikon style!

No, you will not get the D-TTL mode for the 5700 with any Nikon speedlights, the new SB-28DX, 50DX and 80DX are designed to provide D-TTL coverages with digital cameras which have this mode, 5700 does nnot have the TTL flash mode, when using with one of this flashes, you still get great exposure, but in antomatic flash mode...
