Default fujii A303 vs nikon 2100

Hello, i'm a dummie about digital cameras and I want to buy one of this, in a megastore the price is almost the same,
but one is 2 megapixel and the fujii is 3 megapixel.

some friends of mine tell me that fujii is like celeron and nikon is like a pentium 4 processor...
can you help me,

I'd say they're roughly equivalent, but I'd go with the lower resoultion Nikon because I like the layout of the controls and the shape better than the Fuji.

On the Fuji, I notice that it doesn't indicate Fuji's signature SCCD imaging sensor. This could mean all sorts of things, but if I was interested in a Fuji, I'd want the cam to have at least their SCCD technology.
