I don't know about the s5000, but on the 602 the slowest shutter speed is 15 seconds is you use full manual.

The S5000 has a better zoom than the 602, but that is the only feature that is better, unless you like the xD card over the CF. The 602 and the 7000 have the flash hot shoe, better ISO settings, better AVI capabilities, and a few other features which I don't remember at this point, but can be compared on the reviews at dpreview.com. I suspect that one of the upgrades to the S7000 in a year or so will be to use a 10X (maybe even a 12X) zoom. Fuji is likely to keep the dual CF and xD slots. I hope they keep the AA batteries, and they don't replace that with a proprietary battery pack. I am also hoping that the ISO settings will get better so you can use the 800 ISO setting with a 6 megapixel shot.
