I have a fuji finepix s700 camera and I lost the cd with the finepix viewer on it. I need to install the software so I can transfer my pictures onto my computer.

Does anyone know where I can download the software?

:?

The only downloads for it I see on Fuji's web site are for updates (the program has to be installed first). So, that wouldn't help you.

But, with most cameras, you don't need the manufacturer's software to transfer your images.

See if the camera shows up under "My Computer". If so, just treat it the same way as you would any other disk drive (click on it, drill down to the folder that contains the images, select them, and copy them to a folder on your hard disk drive).

Or, get a card reader that supports xD PictureCard.

kitty,

You don't really need the FinePix Viewer software to upload pictures to your computer. Just hook up your USB cable from the camera to the computer. Double click on My Computer. Assuming you have Windows XP, you should see an icon that says 'FinePix (F' - it may be a different letter, depending on what your next available drive letter is. Double click on the icon, and a folder will appear, called 'DCIM' . Double click on that folder, and another will open, called '100_FUJI' . Double click on that, and your pictures will be there. Then you can move them to a folder of your choice.

If you still want the software, you can probably purchase it from Fuji, at:

http://www.fujifilmusa.com/digitalcamera/index.jsp

...or other location, depending on your country of residence...

psychokitty,
fujifilm q&a says:
