Default Entry Level Camera

I am new to this forum, so if this question is posted twice please forgive me.
I am just now entering the exciting world of digital photography at age 50.
I have found two entry level Fujifilm cameras, The Finepix 2650 and the A205. The only difference between the two, as far as I can determine, is the cradle capabilities of the A205. Does anyone have an opinion on which is the better camera of the two?

Thank you,

Default Starter Cameras

To be frank with you; I'd suggest you look elsewhere for a starter digital camera. I used to be a big believer in the Fuji 2650, and while it does have some very lovely features... it is an older model. You could get a different digital for a similar price that will do far more for you than the 2650.

I have discovered over the past month that the 2650 is more susceptible to breakage when dropped due to its raised mount LCD. A customer of mine dropped her newly purchased 2650 about 4 feet, and the LCD cracked right open. While dropping a digital is generally poison to any camera... the raised LCD gave absolutely no chance for survival.

May I suggest the Canon A60 (Price is going down as we speak...), the Kodak 6430 or the Olympus D-390. Each has something to offer and would do well in the hands of a new photographer. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me or come by my website.
