I have tried flash up, flash down, various shooting modes. Btt if I press the RHS of the Menu ring, which the manual seems to indicate I should, I do not get any sort of reaction that I can see. Am I missing a step somewhere?
Any advice appreciated. I would rather not know I have to retrun the camera for repair ![]() Nick |

Do you have the camera set for external flash?

If your camera is in a shooting mode in which flash is operable, then you should see a display in the EVF when depressing the RHS of the menu ring. If you don't, then you might just have a problem.
Good luck. the Hun |

Thanks for the reply. I have tried every shooting mode. So it does not look good. I wish Fuji had agents in other places than one city here in Oz. Have to mail it off, wait weeks. Bah!

Before you send it off, make sure all the other functions of the menu ring are working properly. Hate to hear you got the flash thing fixed, then find out something else isn't quite right.
Let us know how you make out with it. the Hun |

Yeah, everything else is fine, but thanks for the thought. I just have not tried the flash settings up until now.
