Hopefully, Fuji is monitoring these photography web sites and hearing all the complaints about the lack of a printed manual. In the future, maybe they will rethink their really stupid decision not to include one.

<I cursed Fuji when I first opened the box - 3 quick-start manuals in German, French and Dutch but not English! The pdf file on the cd is a pain as the pages are 7x5 and, as it's protected, you can't edit it or convert to doc in order to print 2 pages on A4 paper, so end up with a 151 page tome.>

Oh god. If you have PC, printer, brain ... it's NO problem to get a suitable printed manual for eternal happiness.

I cursed Fuji because I wanted a printed C6-sized manual in North-eastern Kisuaheli language.

Default MANUAL (mechanical) zoom...???

I was 100% ready to buy this beautiful camera but then i seen a comment in another forum about the ZOOM being MANUAL (mechanical) zoom TWIST BARREL type? So unlike most other cameras in the superzoom catagory...you cannot take pictures and zoom in with one hand...??? You have to hold the camera with both hands and turn the barrel manually to zoom in.??

If that's the case..it sucks because as an ebay seller i often hold objects in one hand and zoom in while taking pics with my other hand all in one motion.

Simple. If the camera, any camera, doesn't fit your needs/wants - don't buy it. Perhaps, a DSLR would work better for you. ALL their lenses work just like the one on the HS-10. I, and quite a few others, LIKE the manual zoom.

A camera without manual zoom is not a camera. It's an electronical toy for pointers & shoters (old white haired ladies and shaky aged grandpas)

All you have to do is put the camera on a tripod.
