Default Firmware update for the HS10!!!!
Any ideas? Do you think that is going to fix all the problems? How about the time it takes to save raw? And raw an JPEG? How can they improve those times. That is my main concern.

Details:
FinePix HS10 / HS11 Firmware (camera control software) Update Ver.1.01 Applicable model: FinePix HS10 / HS11 • Detail of the update
The firmware update Ver.1.01 incorporates the following item. It corrects the problems below.
1. Some distorted images with pin-cushion type can be captured at AE bracketing mode
2. Sometimes unclear details in images / in RAW + JPEG mode, JPEG images are sharper
3. Soft image or not smooth enough color gradation in D-range 200, 400% than in 100%

Oh, I don't know.... there are just soooooo many. I know I get so mad at this piece of junk. It's a good doorstop, though. I mean with "all the problems" I feel I really should get check from Fuji just for keeping it. It's a miracle it even takes a picture with "all the problems".

Do you own this camera? Thanks for heads-up.

Yes I do, and it is a really good camera. I do not know what you are talking about. Only a few issues, hopefully they will be solved.

I did the upgrade and will be using the camera for many hours of shooting tomorrow. Will report back Wednesday..... Also this camera is not junk at all!!!!!

Wow! That was fast from Fuji's side..!!

Someone please tell us what all this update does..
Primarily, does it solve the delete bug? They don't mention it in the upgrade details.

I'm expecting my HS10 to arrive next week... Can't wait..

EDIT: I hope all those people who returned their cameras regret it now......

Default Firmwareupdate 1.1
With the firmware 1.1 the JPEG outcome is sharper than before and the JPEG file size increased with about 20%. Looks great I think.
126 mm ISO 400 handheld.
