Default A white dot on the LCD

I have just noticed a small white dot in the left hand lower corner of the LCD. The dot is visible in the photos too. Especially in the dark areas. Is it a dead pixel on the sensor? Why is it also visible on the LCD?
Does it qualify for repair under the guarantee conditions (free )

Will be grateful for any information on that problem.

Might be a bad spot on the sensor. I'd contact Fujifilm about it.
