Default debating wether to get Fuji S3000, canon A70 or Canon SD100.

all three of them are around the same price and i am wondering what should i get. Everyone say canon is the best, but I never used canonbefore, so i am not sure. And i heard that canon will be dropping in price next month since their new line of camera are coming out. ok, here is the question. I can get Fuji S3000 at walmnart.com for $258. omylpus 560d for 220, A70 for 299, and a sd100 around 310 with free 64 sd card. what do you think is the best value? I can only get them at walmart since i have like around 270 dollar in value of gift card at walmart. I try out s3000 at wolfcamera and like how good the zoom work. Alos, i prefer camera that are not oversize like s5000 since i do carry my camera around from time to time and s5000 look big compare to s3000. focusre s3000 is big compare to sd100, but it can easily fit into a camera bag in my coat pocket

It's a tricky one. I don't know much about S3000 as I got the S5000 directly from Canon A40.

I think that if you're a beginner, you will feel a bit better with Canon A70. At least that's how I did. So if you want a camera that you can learn and experience stuff (and beyond, since it has a lot of manual functions), maybe Canon would be better for you.

On the other hand, S3000 seems to have a 6x Fujinon lens, which kicks A70's lens anytime (they're the same as A40's). Also the movie mode is better (320x240@30fps UNLIMITED) compared to that crappy 15fps that Canon has since A60 (YUCK!!!).

So it all comes down to you. What do you really need?

If the S5000 is an option for you I would definitely go for it. I just recently upgraded from the Fuji 3800 which is the older version of the S3000. I believe that the S5000 is the best value around. I love the camera and only paid $295 for it.
