Default Fuji digicams and Macintosh

Hi guys.

I have a Fuji Finepix F601 Zoom and am really happy with. I am connecting my Fuji to my Apple Titanium laptop running OS 9.x. Will Fuji make drivers for OS X???? Fuji's website have no indications on compatability with OS X.

Any comments?

I'm still using OS 9 myself, but somewhere I saw a list of cameras that are OS X compatible, and I believe the 2800 was on it. Try connecting w/o drivers and see if Image Capture will work. I tried transferring photos from my 2800 to my son's new PowerBook running OS X, and it worked perfectly without installing a driver.

for those individuals having issues hooking up computers with their cameras as small suggestion
if your laptop supports firewire (6 pin) get a lexar firewire reader- $50 B&H
if it supports usb get a zio cf reader-$30 on line
each of these items save time (faster xfr) and battery power. your machine will just see it as another removeable drive. then xfr the lot over to the hd. then you can look at them in any of the imaging programs you have on the machine.
