Default JZ250 recharging methods

I love my new Fuji JZ250 but have a question about recharging it.

For a short time I owned a mini Nikon even smaller than this Fuji with a longer optical zoom (10x), which I returned because many photos were blurry, especially in low light. But it had one great feature. When you plugged a USB cable between it and the computer, you could upload the photos to the computer and recharge the camera battery at the same time.

I cannot find any information about recharging the Fuji anywhere. The external battery charger is almost as big as the camera and using it seems so last year. I cannot tell if the camera is supposed to charge across the USB cable and mine is simply not working properly, or if this is a feature that Fuji has yet to consider. Does anyone have any information about this?

Fuji, if you're listening... the ability to recharge the battery inside the camera over the USB cable is incredibly convenient. It also saves carrying a different charger for each camera taken on a trip. I know that in the future when I consider a new camera, if it cannot recharge over USB it will rank very, very low among the cameras being considered. Hoping you can catch up to your competition in this area.
