Default wide angle lens for S602

After using Nikon 900/990 for the past few years, I bought the Fujifilm 602z when the 990 switch stopped working. I love the Fujifilm, and even once the 990 was repaired, I kept using the S602 with the 1G microdrive as my main camera. The S602 is off for repairs (Viagra error -- zoom stuck out). Anyway, I hope that will be repaired under warranty. The S602 has some great plusses, but I do miss the swivel design on the 990 -- I am out of luck with that; I also miss the light wide angle lens that was easy to put onto the 990 and which gave it a remarkably undistorted 88 deg field of view. Does anyone have recommendations on relatively light (I'm a backpacker), good quality wide angle lens for the S602? Will I be disappointed by the field of view of the Fuji FinePix 0.79x Lens? I've seen Sakar 0.5x titanium & others advertized. Any advice?

I'm also looking for a wide-angle lens for the S602, thanks to share the information you get.
On my side, the only lens that seems to be greatly appreciated by users is the Olympus WCON 08e 0.8x. This lens has a 55mm diameter, so no step-up/down adaptater is needed for the S602.
I have no info concerning the Fuji 0.8x. Let me know if you find something.

Default WL-FX9 (x0.79) conversion lens

Purchased this lens as a solution to wide-angle shots. There is a least one con: you can't use a filter with this lens... and Metz 32 Z-1 flash is difficult to work with...

Here is a macro wide-angle picture taken with S602z, full auto:

I'm a bit of a beginner with my 602 at the mo. Does using a wide angle lens from somebody else upset the autofocussing which I guess since it's external, must be tracked to the lense set?
