Default Suppressed Falsh

Suppresed Flash merely refers to anytime (& any shot taken) when the Flash is intentionaly kept off. In the s7000, the default mode because, the flash is not popped up.

The only way you are NOT is suppressed-falh mode is when you intentionally pop-up the flash. Hence, you are no longer in Suppressed Mode.

The s7000 manual says " When using the flash in very dusty conditions or when it is snowing, white dots may appear in the image due to the flash reflecting off the dust particles or snowflakes. Try taking the shot using Suppressed flash mode."

The last line should have said: " Try turning off the flash."
