Following up on Padsnbon's Feb 13 post where it was suggested that he get the TCON 1.7 lens for the Fuji S5000, I was wondering what the difference is between that lens and the TL-FX9 that was suggested to me. Is there also a price difference. I believe the TL-FX9 goes for about $180.00 I'm into bird photography, though very much a novice. I do have a nice tripod. Any help on this would be appreciated.

well, the fuji lens is $134 at Amazon right now and they have the TCON for $98. (I'm not suggesting you buy from Amazon, just giving you the price comparrison)

This is a fairly common topic, I'm sure if you search through the forum here, you'll find plenty of comparrisons and opinions on this topic.
