By the way if you check the EXIF info of the sample pictures at dcrecource you see firmware version 1.02.
If I turn on my s9500 while holding the " DISP BACK" button I see 1.01 ???

Yes, I immediately went to the S-9000 review at www.dcresource.com, based on your nice post. However, I was not blown away. I sincerely believe that the S-9000 is a much better camera than Jeff Keller's review seems to indicate.

It is sort of a re-play of the same travail that the Fuji S-7000 went through several years ago.

Well, it had something comforting for me. I was wondering the other dayI had a bad camera. Some of my pictures on iso 800 are onlynice to look at when you print them at size A5, but not bigger - even after post processing. (I got my pictures printedin different shops.)And I read in this review that he had the same experience.
