I'm still stumped. According to your EXIF data, that pic should have turned out just fine. Itried torepeat whatyou did, and my shot (below, taken in total darkness)came out all right. My EXIF data was almost identical to yours, f/ 3.6, shutter 1/125, ISO 400, Brightness Value -3.39.

The only other cause I can come up with is maybe one of the camera's internal systems had a momentary siezure. If your camera consistently gives youlousy resultsunder similar lighting conditions and camera settings, I'd have it looked at.If not, then it's probably OK.

I like that last picture you posted. I use Normal Light mode a lot and get amazingly good resultswith it.
