Hi, does anyone know what aperture and shutter speed I should set my camera at (s9500) if i want to take a photo of water, i.e at the beach. To still the water and also to make it look blurry.

set your camera to Shutter priority mode and use shutter speed 1/500-1/1000 to freeze water movement and 1/3-3"-5" (depends on how strong you want the effect to be) to blur it. Watch for underexposure with fast shutter speed and overexposure with slow shutter speed. With a slow shutter speed it's a good idea to use a tripod to avoid a camera shake and you might need an ND (neutral density filter). There is a thread with examples here:
