Sorry to disagree but JimC is right, no Fuji camera has ever used SD (Secure Digital) cards. Earlier Fujis used SM (SmartMedia) and for the last couple of years it has been the xD-Picture cards (some Fujis even use both xD and CF like the S2, S3, S9000.) Fuji and Olympus co-market their xD cards in direct competition to most of the rest of the world that now uses SD cards. xD and SD are not compatible at all.

The picture Jim posted above is a FinePix 2600 and that is a SM card in it.

This is really weird. I haven't had the camera in my possession for several years. But I just don't remember ever buying SmartMedia cards for it. But who am I to argue with the expert?

Hi, Just came across your question when searching.

Did you ever find out if Finepix 2650 is compatible with Type M picture cards. I have a 2650 and am looking for memory.
Thanks much,
