I was shifting through my test photos with my new camera today and noticed a little funny. Posted below. It looks like the duck has three feet.

Caught a leaf the same colour as the other ducks foot, looks a good match though

HA! I see a lot of three-legged dogs in Colorado, but this is my first three-legged duck. Although, when I was a college student, I did see a three-legged chicken. My wife and I rented a farm house (in the country of course) and when I would drive to classes, a neighbor's chicken would keep pace with my old VW. Now, in the 70's VW's were not the fastest cars, but this chicken was moving at close to 40 mph as I shifted up through the gears. The chicken would get to the end of its owner's poperty line, and then run up the drive to the barn. One day on the way home I pulled into this farm and introduced myself. I told the farmer about my experience and asked him how was it possible that a chicken could run so fast. He explained," Why that's a three-legged chicken - I breed them myself. My wife, son and I got tired of arguing over who would get the drumstick, so I decided to solve the problem with science." I was stunned, and could only think to ask "How to they taste?" To which the the farmer replied. "I don't know, we can't catch one...":-)

Maybe that's a Mallard-Duck MD-11, which has a higher gross weight than the Mallard-Duck DC-10 and needs the center bogie.

Ooo! I should have called it a "McDonnell-Ducklas" MD-11! Silly me.
