Default anyone know of a good site to learn about cameras?

Not about specific models (steves site is the best for that), but a site that gives you shooting tips, and teaches you how to set the aperature and shutter speed to match the conditions that your in, and also deals with lenses and stuff like that. Just general camera knowledge. I am just starting to get into cameras and i need to learn as much as I can before I buy one.

For general learning, don't pass up your local library. Read some of the clasics (Adams, Weston, ....), they will have some of the best photos ever made as examples.

Don't stick to books about digital, the problems are the same for chemical and digital though the solutions are often very different. As an example, Adams spends a lot of time in his book "The Camera" talking about using the lifts and shifts of a view camera to deal with perspective problems. With digital, that is mostly done with software, but it is exactly the same problem.
