Default Lost my Oly C4000 - Best way to carry?

On vacation - watching the kids - things got a little crazy - put it down and boom - it's gone. I loved the camera but now the excitement of buying a new one has taken over. I'm going a little more compact and leaning towards a Minolta F300. My Question is a simple one - How do I carry this one on vacation without losing it? Does anyone use a case that clips to a belt? I found a shoulder bag annoying and wearing the camera around my neck all day was not convenient with small kids. (I kept banging them in the head when bending down to them). Any suggestions? Thanks.

I actually use one of OP/TECH USA's pouches to attach my PDA to my belt, but they have pouches for cameras too, the Photo/Electric size should fit your camera and yes it does attach to a belt:

I have a CASE LOGIC for a Oly C3000. It has a removal shoulder strap it also has a belt loop on the back. The camera with a Tiffen filter tube attached fits with room to spare.
The case has additional pockets, one zippered and one
Velcro for accessories.

Have your starving, dribbling Rotweiller carry it for you.
