I was thinking about buying a DSLR for a long time. Lens quality, picture quality, accessaries, ex ternal flash had all come into my mind. I have been an analog SLR user for 30 years and like the amnual controls and settings. I finally settled for a P&S camera with a long zoom, a Sony DSC-H2. Here are reasons:

1. The H2 is almost like a SLR with 12X zoom.
2. Powerful flash so I don't need an external flash.
3. Can take movies, DSLR can't. Real convinient when I am taking a trip.
4. Comes with lens hood and tube adapter so I can attach a filter.
5. It has a lot of manual functions.
6. I can view through either the view finder or the LCD screen.
7. It's cheap. I paid $249 at Officemax. It's now $229 at Best Buy and $180 at Target.
