I've always had the impression that lenses that zoom are generally inferior to lenses that don't zoom.

This influenced me when I wanted a second camera that would be small & more easily portable (and have a wider angle of view) than my main camera..

So I bought a Canon A300. I'm constantly pleased with (what seems to me) to be the high quality of resolution that it produces.

Has anybody else experienced this with a non-zoom point & shoot camera?
