You're right JimC it's not a screw-on. Uses ball-bearings to snap on and off. Easier.

And thanks for the link to the cheapo $5.00 one. But I'm not sure it will work as well as the ExpoDisc.

I was thinking of which sizes to buy as I was typing our the post. Since my current lens, a 17-55 Nikkor, has a 77mm thread I would likely be buying a 77mm size ExpoDisc. I'm assuming most, if not all the other lenses I will buy, will have the same filter size of smaller any how.

Thanks for link to Ken Rockwell's article. Never thought of it. That the ExpoDisc would turn our cameras into incident meters. Makes sense.

And while in most circumstances most users might not need it I think it's good to have in our bags. So I'm going to be picking one up next month before I head to LA.
