I own a pentax optio430RS camera. It's about 5 years old. I paid over $300 for it. It stopped working, sent it to Pentax. They have to replace circuit board. Cost of repair is $113. Is it worth getting repaired or should I get a new one? Thanks.

The Pentax Optio 430rs is a 4MP digicam.

Take a look at Steve's Best Cameras List to see if there's something you might like better. If not, then repair the 430rs.

I agree with TCav but would put it a bit stronger: you are likely to find a new camera for a bit over a hundred bucks that is better than a five year old three hundred dollar camera. The only problem is that reviews of cheaper cameras are not easy to find.
