I was taking pictures of my nephew at the park. He had a rubber balloon in the shape of a hotdog he accidentally poked the lens of my FZ28 with it. I'm knew to cameras...the lens looks alright to me...but could it of done any harm to the lens?

Very unlikely to have done anything at all.

If you have a smudge or something on the lens then just get a proper lens cleaning cloth or pen, apart from that nothing to worry about.

I once ran along and tripped and fell on my lens.

I straightened it out with my fingers and it's been taking fine pictures since.
