It looks like photozone.de shows the same thing. Center sharpness is a tiny bit better at f/5.6, but border sharpness is improved at f/8 on the wide end of that lens. If you zoom in a bit to 24mm, f/8 is much better for border sharpness.


It's too bad those reviews don't show 1/3 stop increments, too. lol

Thanks to all who posted a response to my question. Much Appreciated - looks like I have some reading to do. I will say though that I have stopped down the 18-200vR lens down to F20 and had very, very acceptable results at the 30mm focal length. I'd be happy to to post such an image if I could figure out how.
