Yes. So just to make that very clear, a lens for a 35mm (film) Pentax camera can use a 28-80mm zoom, a 70-300mm zoom, a single length 24mm lens, a 400mm lens, etc, etc, etc, can be used with a Pentax K-x DSLR, to take movies. You will need to focus manually, however, which is still the case with the 18-55mm kit lens, when you take movies.
