Default where did you buy your camera?

I'm wondering whether the $ I might save on one site is worth not buying from a site with a better reputation.

Provantage has a slightly less expensive version of the same camera I'm interested in, but I've never purchased from them. amazon has the same camera for about $40 more, plus another $40 in taxes, so overall, $80 cheaper, which is a lot for me.

Can anyone vouch for Provantage? Neither has the camera in stock at the moment, does anyone know whether one or t'other will get it in stock first?

Where did you buy YOUR camera, if you bought it online?

See http://www.resellerratings.com/store...GE_Corporation

Provantage is below average, but they aren't bad.

Thanks for the link TCav! That helps. I don't generally buy from sellers w/less than about 98%, depending on how many reviews they have. less than 80% is a lot less than I'm used to. I did speak w/them on the phone, and they said I can cancel the pre-order, no prob. It's not paid in advance, which is a good thing.

What state do you live in that amazon charges taxes in, I know NYS does that. Which camera are you looking at getting.
