Default Slaveflash for Panasonic DMC-FZ28

Good morning everybody

I've been shopping around for a slaveflash for my DMC-FZ28 and have found
a combination that I would be grateful for your feedback on ...

I'm considering the Vivitar 285HV with the Sunpak Digital Camera Flash Adapter - Flash Bracket with Slave Sensor.

Thank you for any advice and recommendations ...

Yes, that combination will work. And that is the combination the I started with when adapting a slave flash to my FZ-28. However in actual use I found that it was not always 100% ready to fire. Perhaps my Sunpack bracket was defective, Sunpack claimed it was not. However, the result was that I lost a good number of shots.

My eventual solution was a $40 Digital Concepts flash that I purchased on E-Bay that has worked like a charm. It has the slave feature built into the Digital Concepts Flash unit. No, it is not as powerful as the Vivitar 285HV, but it works every time. Here is a photo of my set-up:

Thank you very much for the reply , since posting this thread I have read
of others having issues as well, I really liked the concept of the handle cause it just seems easier to hang on to ...
