Default When will accessories become available for a new dslr?

My questions is pertaining to buying a new DSLR that just came onto the market, and when accessories usually become available for it.

specifically, i just bought a Pentax K-r. It was released just a few weeks ago.
Battery grips, extra proprietary batteries, and the AA adapter have not been released yet. (there are a few other little random things as well that are not supported by the K-r)

How long does it usually take to come out with accessories for a camera?

Thanks for any info you can give me,

Availability of accessories depends somewhat on the popularity of the camera. The K-r, as I understand, is an upgrade of the K-x, and may be able to use the same accessories. Have you asked at the Pentax customer service, or the store where you bought the camera? The sales reps at major camera stores are usually pretty knowledgeable, especially if they might be able so sell you something. The regulars at the Pentax DSLR forum here may be able to help, also.
