Default Canon S400 successor, or similar cameras

It was around a year ago that Canon released its S400. I'm guessing a new version will be coming soon. The reason I'm wondering is that I'm looking for a compact digicam, along the lines of S400 form factor, and given that it's likely be replaced soon, I'm wondering where I should look. Have checked out the Pentax Optio 555 as well.

Anyone have any suggestions or other ideas for S400-like cameras of recent vintage?

I have a Pentax Optio 430 RS. It's 4 megapixel and shoots quite sharp photos.

Unfortunately, the newer Pentax Optios have the Stupid, Dumb SD cards instead of CompactFlash cards like the 430.

I will probably switch back to the Canon Digital Elph series. I originally had a S100 and sold it to buy the 430 RS.
