Default 1,000,000 pics

Just read this on the Steve's news & updates page

After reading it, my question is . . . did the artist get permission from the thousands of photographers to use their images in an exhibition? If not, would this be considered a infringement of copyright? My first thought is yes it is. He is using other peoples work for promoting himself.

Just curious what others thoughts are on this.

It appears he is doing this to promote Flickr as well as himself, and if doing it for or with Flickr's permission, is probably well within the law. AFAIK, all the hosting sites' terms of use allow them to use members' photos for this.

I suppose if you can find your photos in that jumbled pile you can ask your lawyer to have him remove it.

What I want to know is, how much did they spend on ink and paper?!
