Default Panasonic/Canon plants shuttered in China

Wonder how this is going to impact production? Sad... just as new cameras are being brought out...

Its impact is probably not going to be that big. Most of the high end stuffs are still manufactured in Japan.

Anti-Japanese sentiments are to be expected because of the territorial fight over 2 small islands (Daioyu Islands) in the Pacific which the Japanese claimed that they had these island since 1865. But the fact is these island was in the Chinese territory since the Ming Dynasty (1600).

The Japanese government has never apologized to the Chinese and other Asian countries for the war crimes they committed during World War II. Now this happened! I guess the Japanese government still thinks that they are in olden days and the Imperial Army can handle the Chinese handily. Time has changed, China is not going to let them to have their way. The occupation of Manchuria and Taiwan are still fresh in the mind of the Chinese.
